All the news from Hyde Road:
- Mark Drake has been named 1st Team Captain
- Due to other commitments Neil Howard steps down from his position of Reserve Team Assistant.
- Roade 1st team drawn away in League Cup to Corby Pegasus. Roade Res drawn at home vs Kislingbury in League Cup. Both games take place on Saturday 18th Oct.
- Roade today put in a 7 day request to Wootton FC for the services of Sam Holmes. Lathan is keen to bring Sam to Roade after impressive performances for Wootton and Silbey U18's in recent weeks. Lathan issued this statement " Losing the services of Luke Stone earlier than expected means I need a forward/ Midfield Playmaker to fill this position, I have been more than impressed with Sam Holmes in recent weeks he was outstanding for the U18's last season and he is more than ready to make the step up to the Prem Division. I would like to make it clear it has been reported that myself and Harris (Wootton Manager) have fallen out recently this transfer request is not to add fuel to this but simply add an outstanding player to our squad.

- Roade Sun 1st lose 2-1 to Dynamo
- Roade Sun Res lose 5-4 to Golden Horse
- Roade Vets and Wootton Vets draw 2-2 in entertaining game in aid of Marie Curie.
- Roade 1st team beat Hi Tec Roofline 4-0
- Roade Res game called off late Friday evening
- Wootton unable to field a side for Saturday game has been replaced by Hi Tec Roofline.
- Roade Res win local derby vs Wootton 2-1.
- Sunday 1st team start at home vs Alba Eagles on 7th Sept followed by home vs Crown and Cushion on 21st and away on the 28th Sept vs Mears Ashby
- Northampton Ladies of to a bad start losing 7-0 to Luton Ladies in their opening game of the season at Roade FC.
- Sunday Res lose 2-1 at home to Norteles
- Roade earn comfortable win against Deanshanger 3-1
- Game called off vs Buckingham Res
- Roade brush aside Queen Eleanor 5-1, an even game until the final 20mins when fitness showed and Roade ran out comfortable winners.
- Roade Res beaten 4-2 by Old Bradwell Res goals from Wade and Freeman not enough.
- Roade Sat Res have a mouth watering tie away at Rothwell Corinthians on October 4th 2pm ko.
- Roade Sat 1st team drawn at Home in the Junior Cup 1st round against Whitefield Norpol. The pick of the draw was Brixworth vs Peterborough North Star,Spencer vs Heyford, local rivals Blisworth travel to Desborough Town. Games to be played on Sept 27th 2pm Ko.
- In a tight contest Roade and Thrapston draw blanks in a 0-0 draw
- Roade Sat 1st handed home fixture vs New boys Harborough Town while the Res travel to Corby Pegasus on the opening day.
- Sun Res beat Weston Favell Centre 2-1 in 1st friendly of the season
- Roade Res lose 3-1 against Daventry Town Res in a game that did not reflect the scoreline
- Mursley leave with a 2-1 win after a below par performance by Roade
- Roade earn hard fought victory against Long Buckby 2-1.
- Northampton Town Ladies begin their campaign at Home vs Luton Town Ladies on August 17th with a 2pm Kick off.
- Roade where able to hang on to a 3-2 lead to overcome Brixworth lastnight. Roade raced into a 3-0 lead and controlled the 1st half, however 2nd half Brixworth controlled and where close to forcing a draw. Another good work out for some of the lads.
- I am please to annouce that Ray Wheeler will join the coaching staff at Roade. Ray will come in and train the lads. Ray has a vast amount of knowledge having previously worked with Cogenhoe and Heyford.
- Youthful Roade side lose entertaining game with Padbury 1-0. It was a game we could have got something out off having missed a number of chances. More positives where the impressive performances of debutants Diamond, Moriarty, Ward, Dunse, Hayward and Baugh
- Roade FC to Host Milton Vets vs Northamptonshire Refs on Sunday 3rd August 11am kick off.
- Roade Saturday 1st team will play Queen Eleanor at Home on Saturday 9th August kicking off at 2.30pm.
- Club gets off to excellent start beating New Bradwell 5-0 in 1st friendly.Debuts for Slinn,Bandy,Howitt,Fisher,Harding,K.Avery,Atkinson and Iffy.
- Ben Stone will not be involved with the 1st team this season due to work commitments. Lathan told the website " Stoney informed me a week before training was about to start that he had allot of work on and would struggle to put the time and effort he wanted into the job". When the reasons are not football related it is impossible to talk someone round and with regret I accepted his decision. We both felt at the time that it would be better to keep this between ourselves so it did not effect the club or players. Lathan is now seeking a replacement however he is in no rush.
- A Roade XI will face Brixworth Res at Home on Tuesday 30th August kick off 7pm.
- Saturday 1st Team have a friendly vs Deanshanger United on Saturday 16th August at Home 3pm Kick off.
- NTLFC will play all 1st Team and Reserves fixtures at Roade FC for Season 08/09. They play on a Sunday afternoon and will play in the Southern League against Luton Town,Norwich and Gillingham to name a few.
- Roade FC have been asked to enter the Buckingham Cup a trophy that featured Long Buckby,Stony Stratford and many other sides last season.

- Roland Tapp has taken over from Andy Roberts as the Saturday Football Secertary. The Club and especially the Managers would like to thank Andy for all his hard work and wish Roland all the best
- Bob Hawes who has Managed and coached many of the Youth sides within Roade has been installed as the U18's Ast Manager
- Neil Howard as well as Ast the Res will be the Clubs Goalkeeping Coach
- Sat Res will play Delapre on Sat the 30th August at Home
- Training starts well with good turnout of new and present players
- Congrats to Mr & Mrs Freeman as Mrs gave birth to Lex John Freeman last week.
